Sharing and promoting your group is key to building an active and engaged community. SeaPeople provides tools to help you spread the word and attract members who share your interests.
Sharing your group
Sharing options:
Main CTA in the group header - This button quickly copies the group link to your clipboard, making it easy to share directly with others.
Three dots menu in the Group page - Access this option to open your device's native sharing modal and share the group link outside of SeaPeople.
Participants page - From the participants page, you can also use the native sharing modal to promote the group to external audiences.
When someone taps the link:
SeaPeople users will be directed to the group page in the app.
Non-users or those accessing it on a desktop will see a web page encouraging them to download SeaPeople to join.
Promoting your group
Leverage Social Media
Share highlights from your group, like engaging discussions or events, on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter.
Use relevant hashtags to reach a broader audience.
Engage in the SeaPeople Community
Post about your group in the Community Tab or relevant discussions.
Mention your group in comments or hails when appropriate to attract like-minded users.
Create Valuable Content
Organize events, share tips, or host discussions within your group.
High-quality, engaging posts will encourage members to invite others.
Encourage Member Sharing
Ask your group members to share the group link with their networks.
Recognize and reward active members for helping grow the group.

Focus on your niche: Highlight what makes your group unique to attract the right audience.
Use verified status (if applicable): If your group is verified, emphasize its credibility and visibility benefits.
