How to verify a group
Verified groups in SeaPeople gain added visibility and credibility, making them stand out in the community. However these verified groups are only for bonafide organizations existing outside of SeaPeople with existing membership bases, or SeaPeople groups that have shown a history of creating real-life, in-person gatherings amongst group members.
Here’s how to request group verification and the requirements your group must meet to qualify.

Steps to request group verification
Check the guidelines for verifiable groups
Thoroughly read the requirements and criteria for verification found below.
Submit your request
Wait for review
Once submitted, your request will be reviewed by the SeaPeople moderation team. If you receive no reply or have not seen a verification badge appear, we have decided that your group does not meet the current threshold for verification. BUT please remember, discussion groups are the core of our community, and we love you for being with us. If you feel like you have been incorrectly classified, you can resubmit your request after 14 days.
