Where to find settings
You can access your profile settings from the gear icon in the upper right corner of your personal profile screen.
Main settings options
SeaPeople offers a variety of settings to help you personalize your experience and make the most of the app’s features. Here’s a breakdown of what you can configure in the Settings tab:
Location sharing
Adjust your visibility settings to suit your boating style and privacy preferences. Detailed instructions for configuring location sharing (e.g., Live, Pinned, or Hidden) can be found in the Location settings article.
Tracking precision
Optimize your tracking based on your trip type and battery preferences:
High precision: Ideal for short trips or when you want detailed route tracking. Consumes more battery.
Medium precision: Balanced option for moderate trips with good detail and reasonable battery usage.
Low precision: Best for long trips where conserving battery is a priority.
Map settings
Customize how your map looks and works. Choose between different map styles to suit your preferences.
Units of measure
Select the units for distance and speed that match your needs.
Notifications
Stay informed and connected by managing your push notifications. Enable push notifications to ensure you receive updates about hails, group activities, and trip events. Tailor notifications to focus on the events and updates that matter most to you.
Support and assistance
Access help directly from the app. Visit the Support section for troubleshooting, FAQs, or to contact customer service.
Deleting Your Profile on SeaPeople
Find the Delete Profile button at the bottom of the Settings page.
Clicking the button will deactivate your account, hiding your profile and content across SeaPeople.
You have a 30-day reactivation window. Log back in during this time to restore your account.
Profiles can only be deactivated once per week.
After 30 days of inactivity, your account will be permanently deleted, and you will lose access to your connections, username, trips, and posts.
Ensure you save any important data before starting the deletion process.
