Our First Guest: Veronica Skotnes

🗓 Tuesday, May 27th at 12pm EST

📍Live on Zoom

We’re kicking off SeaPeople Live with a bang—and a bit of frostbite. Arctic solo sailor Veronica Skotnes joins us to talk about her wild new project, backed by one of the legends behind Women and the Wind. It’s bold, it’s beautiful, and it’s deeply personal. She can’t wait to share it with you.

But that’s just the beginning.

You’ll be able to ask Veronica questions live—about anything. Her cold-weather high-latitude voyages. The time a man slashed her mooring lines because he didn’t think women belonged at sea. Her drive to tell stories through film, writing, and art. And her yearning to slow down time in a world that’s speeding up. You can check out her past adventures in her SeaPeople Logbook.

Why SeaPeople Live?

Because this community isn’t just about sharing tracks and great sunsets. It’s about learning from one another. And sometimes, the best way to do that is to show up, listen in, and ask questions in real time.

So mark your calendar. Ask your questions. Bring your curiosity.

SeaPeople Live with Veronica Skotnes happens this Tuesday, May 27 at noon EST.

It’s time to get inspired—and maybe a little cold.

Come join the fun!

Get inspired by one of the great adventurers and storytellers of our time.

Don't just listen... learn and & get involved in the convo.

Be a part of something fun and real. Will your question make it on the podcast?

Each SeaPeople Live will become a podcast and YouTube episode. We'll update this post with the links once they have posted.

Who is Veronica Skotnes?

Veronica Skotnes fell in love with sailing at 17 while crewing a schooner from Northern Ireland to Norway—a trip that ignited a lifelong journey across the Atlantic and deep into the Arctic. She studied navigation in Svalbard, solo-sailed in icy waters most wouldn’t dare, and turned her experiences into a powerful first book. Her recent voyage along the entire Norwegian coast with friends reshaped her life—and now she’s ready to talk about what comes next.

She’s a sailor, an author, an artist—and she’s not interested in fitting anyone’s mold.
