SeaPeople Community Guidelines

Welcome to SeaPeople! Our community is diverse, adventurous, and vibrant, embracing the unique cultures and traditions of boaters from all corners of the globe. To ensure that SeaPeople remains a welcoming and enjoyable space for everyone, we have established guidelines for our community. By using SeaPeople, you agree to adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Respect and Courtesy

  • Respectful Communication: Treat all members with respect and kindness. Abusive, threatening, or harassing language will not be tolerated.

  • Personal Boundaries: Be mindful of others' privacy and personal space. Do not send unwanted messages or repeatedly message users who have not responded.

  1. Community Integrity

  • Authenticity: Use your real name and accurate profile information. Misrepresentation or impersonation is prohibited.

  • Respect the Environment and Eachother: Promote and practice sustainable boating. Dispose of waste properly and respect marine life and habitats. Engage with fellow members in a respectful and considerate manner. Avoid making inappropriate comments about others' content. Remember, Sea People is a community built on mutual respect and a shared passion for the boating lifestyle.

3. Nudity and Explicit Content

  • Respect Cultural Differences: We recognize that attitudes towards nudity vary significantly across cultures. While some communities consider nudity a natural part of life, others may find it offensive. When sharing content, be mindful of these differences and strive to respect the diverse perspectives within our community.

  • Context Matters: Frontal nudity above the waist in a non-sexual context, such as sunbathing, swimming, or cultural events, is generally acceptable. However, explicit content that is sexually suggestive or intended to arouse is not permitted. Ensure that your content reflects the spirit of Sea People, focusing on the boating lifestyle and related activities.

  • Age-Appropriate Content: Sea People is an app for adults. However, explicit content that is graphic or pornographic is strictly prohibited. We aim to create a space that is true to boating culture and respectful, where members can express themselves freely without crossing the line into inappropriate or harmful territory.

4. Privacy

  • Confidentiality: Do not share others’ personal information without their consent. This includes location details, personal photos, or contact information.

  • Public Spaces: Remember that hails are public within a certain radius. Share information you are comfortable being seen by others nearby.

  • Consent is Key: Always obtain explicit consent from anyone featured in your photos or videos before sharing them. This includes individuals who may appear in the background. Respect the privacy and preferences of others at all times.

5. Constructive Communication

  • Helpful and Informative: Use hails to offer assistance, share useful information, and foster a supportive community.

  • Constructive Feedback: If you provide feedback or criticism, ensure it is constructive and respectful.
