Three stories that show what SeaPeople is all about

Three Journeys That Define SeaPeople

Every boat has a story and every sailor, a reason they go.

These short films follow real SeaPeople whose paths crossed through the app and whose lives were forever changed by it. From a spontaneous rescue in the Pacific to a Newfoundland father’s farewell voyage to a trio of young cruisers who found friendship through the map, these are reminders that what connects us isn’t just the water.
It’s each other.

Four Solo Sailors Who Found Each Other

When Xander, Lexi, Alfred and Phoebe each set sail alone, they never imagined finding true friendship along the way. They connected through the SeaPeople App and went from strangers on a map to lifelong friends and travel buddies.
A reminder that sometimes the best part of an adventure is the people you meet along the way!

The Pacific Rescue

When ocean rowers Jess and Miriam lost their rudder 600 miles offshore, fellow sea person Alec used the app’s tracking and data tools to find them and sail to their aid, a 10-day upwind journey that saved their mission to be the first women’s team to row the Pacific non-stop and unsupported. What started as a rescue became a lifelong friendship.

The Voyage of a Lifetime

Zachary from Newfoundland set out to circumnavigate his home island after being told his cancer was terminal. With his wife and daughter aboard and SeaPeople tracking every mile, his 45-day voyage became a gift of time, love, and legacy.
