Know a place boaters should know? Put it on the map.
Add one new anchorage, marina, waterfront restaurant, marine store, or provisioning stop to SeaPeople between August 1 and August 15.
Add a photo and whatever local intel you know. We’ll search through 14 million miles of SeaPeople trips, combine your knowledge with what other boaters have shared, and bring the Place to life with its own 3D diorama.

🗺️ How To Add a Place
1️⃣ Head to the Explore map
2️⃣ Scroll to the exact location of your new Place
3️⃣ Make sure it does not already exist
4️⃣ Tap and hold on the location
5️⃣ Add a photo and as much local intel as you know
6️⃣ Submit it
We’ll take it from there.
✨ What Happens Next?
SeaPeople will take your new Place and search 14 million miles of other users’ trips for journeys that started or ended there too.
We’ll prioritize what you shared, then add useful boater intelligence from other trip posts connected to that location.
A little more SeaPeople magic happens behind the scenes, then our team reviews the Place and looks to add it to the map.
⏳ Why Doesn't My Place Appear Automatically?
Our enhancement tools are fast, but we’re still tuning them before turning everything fully automatic.
For now, every new Place is checked by a SeaPeople team member to help ensure the map is filled with locations that actually matter to boaters.
🤷 What If My Place Is Not Approved?
You’ll still receive challenge credit for making the contribution. We appreciate you helping improve the map.
A Place may be held for later if:
• it already exists
• there is not enough information yet
• there is not enough supporting user intelligence connected to the location
It may still be added in the future as more information becomes available.

📄 Fine Print
Submissions must be made between August 1 and August 15.
Eligible Places include anchorages, marinas, restaurants near the water, marine stores, and provisioning locations near the water.
Please submit locations and photos you have the right to share.
Duplicate, inaccurate, or incomplete Places may be held or rejected, but valid attempts will still receive challenge credit.
