NEW: Challenges, tracking & updates reimagined, advanced web stats, and more!
We’re thrilled to introduce Version 2.0!
This major update brings powerful new tracking tools, community-driven features, and performance upgrades—designed to make your on-water adventures, and the experience for those following from home, more dynamic, social, and insightful than ever.
Let’s dive into what’s new:
Challenges: Join. Compete. Get recognized
Challenges: Get inspired, get rewarded
Challenges are a fun and inspiring way to get motivated to get on the water and engage with the SeaPeople community. Most Challenges are based around logging or tracking activity—such as number of trips, miles, or hours—during a specific time period.
Successfully completing a Challenge can earn you great perks from partner brands and fun trophies on your profile to commemorate your achievements.
Keep an eye out for Challenge #1… (sneak peek) it could put you on the cover a magazine.
Mid-track updates (aka Voyages) & multi-day track upgrades
Mid-track updates:
The Mid-Track Updates feature—also called Voyages—lets you post/ share notes, photos, and videos while you’re underway, without ending your trip. These updates are added in real time to your active track, appear in the home feed, and are visible to anyone watching your live trip on the web.
When you end your trip, your mid-track updates are saved alongside your full track, bundling your memories and media into one easy-to-access log.
Multi day trip visualizations:
We’ve reimagined how longer voyages are tracked and displayed. For any multi-day trip, your route is now broken down visually on the trackline, by color and with labels, into 24-hour track segments; helping you and your followers better navigate and visualize the full journey—day by day. This makes documenting, reviewing, and reliving extended adventures easier and more intuitive.
What this changed?
Before 2.0, the only way to make an update to friends and family, while tracking, was to make a separate social post, or end tracking and post trips in legs. Now those updates can happen right from the tracking screen, are geo-tagged to the position on your trackline, and are shared in real-time without ending tracking. Providing an interactive journey of updates within your trip.
Live trip stats: more detail, more insight

The live web sharing page just got an upgrade. You and your web viewers now get a richer snapshot of your real-time progress.
More sophisticated and fine-tuned stats
Clearer visuals for distance, speed, and activity
Real-time metrics that feel more alive
24 Hour Breakdowns
Analyze and share daily breakdowns of distance traveled and average speed, giving you a better understanding of your performance across every leg of your journey. Toggle between calendar days or 24hrs from departure time, depending on how you like to watch your progress.

6 Hour real-time speeds
See and share real-time snapshots of your most recent speed performance in a 6 hour chart. Fun, easy, and informative.

Your shared track isn’t just a map—it’s a full experience. Share even more now.
Tagging trips to Groups
Share your trip to your group's feed:
You can now tag your trips to your Group's feeds. It's a super fun way to engage more with your Group and share relevant adventures to people who really care (EX: Tagging a trip with your pet to the Cruising with Pets group).
What it changed?
Before 2.0, you could only post to Groups by creating a post within that Group's page. Meaning trips were excluded from Group posts. Not anymore. Enjoy.
Destination ETAs: In-app & on the web

Get a clearer picture of how close you are to your goal. Both in the app and on the live web sharing page, you’ll now see estimated time and distance to destination—helping you and your followers stay aligned and in the loop.
No more guessing when you’ll arrive—the numbers are right there.
Bug fixes & performance enhancements
As always, we’ve taken your feedback seriously. This release includes a round of bug squashing and performance tuning under the hood to make the app smoother, faster, and more reliable all around.
🤖 Android is always a major focus area for us. We appreciate your patience with Android and this build should fix many Android performance issues for many device models.
The journey continues...
Version 2.0 marks the beginning of a new era for our community. With challenges to conquer, real-time stories to tell, and deeper insights into every trip—you’re more connected than ever to the water and to each other.
Update now and get back out there—your next great adventure awaits.
