Heroes among us – meet this week’s legends ⛵🌟
From something as simple as answering a Hail or offering support, to big missions like plastic cleanup and saving animals, we can all be aquatic heros.
♻️ Fishing for Plastic
Angela and Bill have sailed the world for decades, witnessing the rise of plastic pollution firsthand. In 2018, they launched Fishing for Plastic to educate and mobilize communities in keeping shorelines clean. Find them in SeaPeople, get involved, be a hero too!
🐾 Dr. Sheddy’s mission
Since 2017, Dr. Sheddy has sailed to remote communities, providing free veterinary care. Their latest project will reach 11 communities, treating over 200 animals in the next two months! Find her in SeaPeople and ask how you can be a hero to the furry population of the globe too!
💡 Easy ways you can be a hero in SeaPeople:
1) Answer the Hail!
Taking a moment to share a simple piece of local knowlege or your past experience with a repair; both are easy ways to be someone's hero, like John O'Brien was for Geoff.
2) Offer a helping hand
