Introducing our New Collection
Check out the Fishing collection in the SeaPeople app or on the web and explore some of our hand-picked favorite posts from sailors who caught fish on their trips around the world. Whether it’s during an offshore passage, landing dinner at anchor, or pulling in something totally unexpected mid-crossing, this collection is proof that some of the best fishing happens when you’re not even on a fishing trip!
Caught Some Fish On The Way To Buena Vista Cay
📍The Bahamas
"Caught some fish on a way and some half fish good times in paradise 🤙"

Mahi, Tuna, Tons of Dolphin and a Mola Mola
📍Back Creek, Lusby, Calvert County, MD, USA
"First multi-day passage in the books! What an awesome 4 days with a little bit of everything. We saw flat seas, 12ft+ waves, boat speed record of 17.3 knots surfing down a wave, mahi, tuna, tons of dolphin, Mola mola, running away from squalls, lightning, and two people in awe that we did this.
So blessed!"

Guarapari to Abrolhos to Salvador 🇧🇷
📍Baía de Todos os Santos, Salvador, BA, Brazil
Fishing in Brazil!

A Nice Size Mahi Mahi
📍Peter Island
"BVI offers a lot of nice islands and we hoped from Virgin Gorda to Peter Island 🏝️ a short sail and a nice snorkeling. And best of all a nice size Mahi Mahi, so fresh fish is on the menu."

Great Wind, Bigger Fish!
📍Four Seasons Guanacaste, Nacascolo, Costa Rica
"Then as we rounded the point, Bay Islands I believe, we hooked into a marlin! This time we were better prepared, dropped sails and as I was fighting the fish, my father was reversing the boat towards the marlin. We made it to within 50', and the bugger spit the hook! This was the closest yet to landing a big one. Next time... After losing the marlin, we continued the sail south and then hooked into one of the larger mahi I have ever seen!"

A Monster Yellowfin Tuna
📍South Pacific Ocean, French Polynesia
"Caught a monster yellowfin tuna we estimated to be -150lbs. Happy to be in the Atolls and eating sushi"

Holy Mackerel!
📍Bahamas
"We left Flamingo Cay this morning to motor south in hopes of mahi or wahoo. We didn’t catch either of those, but we did manage a couple nice king mackerel! Definitely a PB king at 51” and a smaller one about 38”. Very glad we had our harpoon at the ready today."
