The Annual Latitudes & Attitudes Cover Challenge Returns
Get off the dock. Get in the magazine.
Some moments on the water deserve more than a spot in your camera roll.
They deserve to be seen. We’re excited to bring back one of our favorite collaborations with Latitudes & Attitudes Magazine. A challenge built around storytelling, photography, and the moments that make life on the water unforgettable.
This isn’t about miles logged or how far you sailed.
It’s about sharing a moment worth remembering.
And yes… it could land you on the cover of a magazine.
What Is the Cover Challenge?
The On Water. In Print. Challenge gives SeaPeople members the opportunity to have their boating moments considered for:
Magazine cover selection
Feature articles
Editorial highlights
Social spotlights across SeaPeople and Latitudes & Attitudes
If you’ve ever captured a photo that made you stop and think “this is why we do this” — this challenge is for you.
How to Enter (It’s Simple)
To qualify, complete one of the following during the challenge window:
✅ Track at least one trip in SeaPeople
OR
✅ Share a post featuring your best on-water photo from the past year
Then:
📸 Include at least one great photo
✍️ Add a caption. We want to hear the story behind the images & the miles.
That’s it. You’re entered.
No mileage minimum.
No complicated rules.
Just your best moment on the water.
Why Past Photos Count
Some of the best boating moments don’t happen on schedule.
Maybe your perfect anchorage shot happened months ago. Maybe your favorite passage photo lives buried in your camera roll.
This challenge is about bringing those moments back to life and giving them a chance to be seen in print.
Editorial Picks Along the Way
Throughout the challenge, standout submissions may be selected as Editorial Picks and featured across SeaPeople and Latitudes & Attitudes channels.
A great photo, a unique perspective, or a moment that captures life on the water can all stand out.
You never know which post catches an editor’s eye.
Prizes! What You Get for Participating
Everyone who completes the challenge requirements receives:
A free year of Latitudes & Attitudes digital subscription
Entry into magazine cover consideration
Eligibility for feature articles
Social media spotlight opportunities
The real prize?
Seeing your experience on the water shared with the global cruising community.

Why We Love This Challenge
SeaPeople has always been about more than tracking trips.
It’s about the stories behind them.
The quiet anchorages.
The unexpected friendships.
The sunsets you didn’t plan for.
The days that remind you why you keep coming back to the water.
This challenge celebrates those moments, and gives them a chance to live beyond your own logbook.
