Who are sea people?
Sea people are legends, newbies, old salts, first timers, and everyone between. All charting their own course and making their own lives interacting with the water. We're proud to have each and every one of you connecting with each other, building community, logging your miles, and communicating in SeaPeople.
Today we continue our 4 part waterwomen legends highlight. Meet sea person Nikki Henderson.
Nikki's bio

I feel a connection with the sea deep in my soul. It’s a place I find love, acceptance, and fulfilment. It’s beautiful, mystical and helps me see life from a different perspective. Onboard, I am 100% present. I’m a Leo 🦁 and a rooster 🐓 - I can be … a lot. So, if you wonder where I’ve gone, and I’m not on the water - I’m probably hiding 😶🌫️, recovering 🧘♀️ on firm ground. ☘️ And as for sailing ⛵️- I can cruise 😎 and I can race 🏃♀️ . But, not at the same time.
More About Nikki
As you can see from Nikki's SeaPeople profile bio, she is about as humble as it gets. Let us brag about her a little:
Nikki started sailing at 13 with Sea Cadets and continued to gain experience with the all girls sailing school Girls for Sail. By 25 she made history as youngest skipper to lead a team in the Clipper RTW race. She has skippered the ARC multiple times, Fastnet, Caribbean 600, etc. Two of the SeaPeople cofounders, Riley and Elayna, were honored rio spend 19 days with Nikki crossing the Atlantic with Greta Thunberg on SLV.
